Verdant Study – Miniature Witch’s Cabinet – Papilio maackii (23x18cm)

This piece features a preserved Papilio maackii, its iridescent wings shifting between deep green and soft turquoise tones as the light moves across them. The specimen rests within a wooden frame, set against a richly detailed botanical backdrop, framed by ivy and surrounded by small glass bottles filled with dried materials.

To the side, a handcrafted miniature apothecary shelf holds aged books, scrolls, candles, and glass vials, alongside a small metal Ouija board. A smaller inner frame made of resin adds an additional layer to the composition, enhancing the depth and detail of the scene.

Each element is carefully arranged to create the feeling of a quiet study filled with collected objects and hidden meaning.
